Little Cowboy

Good morning everyone
I hope you are all having a good week so far.

Today's card is a Morehead stamp. I also did an Incire technique on the fold and made a tutorial for you on how I did it. Don't get too excited the pic's are not great but hopefully it will be good enough for you to follow. A new camera is on my wish list!!!

I embossed the image with black and painted it with distress ink. I used a MS punch for the border. The frame for the sentiment was cut with my nesties.

You will have to make the pic's larger to see the details of the tutorial.

To make the Incire on the fold...
Step 1.... you start with 1/4 in. graph paper. I cut it the same length as the card and used 6 squares wide.....which is 1 1/2 in.

Step 2....fold the piece in half so there are 3 squares showing. In the middle squares draw a line all the way down marking the squares in half.

Step 3.... starting at the top draw a line through the square on the diagonal... starting the first line at the line you had previously drawn down the middle squares. This will be a short line. The next line is extended to the point of the second square. Continue with a short line and a long line to the bottom of the piece.

Step 4....place the folded paper pattern over the card fold... making the top and bottom even. Holding it firmly start cutting on the marked lines. I stopped after a few lines to make sure the pattern fold and the card fold are tight together and then continued.

Step 5.....once all the lines are cut take the paper pattern off and unfold the card flat. Starting at the first cut, fold it evenly upwards. Skip the next cut and fold the next cut upwards and tuck in in underneath the point above. Skip, fold and tuck.....all the way down.

This is how it should look.

You will notice the first fold has a little point sticking out above the card....just snip it off evenly with the top of the card.

And there you have it....an Incire fold.
It is a good idea to practice marking and cutting a graph paper pattern before trying it on a card.
I hope I have explained it properly for you.....this techniques looks fabulous on a scrapbook page too. You can add a different colour or designer paper behind it for contrast.

Have a great day and Thanks so much for stopping by...
