Hello everyone;
Wow, what a week this has been. I was in Toronto for a few days, just got back last night. We had a great time, Cathy and I went to get our Copic certification. A full day of fun....wish we could have stayed for the rest of the week as there is still more going on, but we had to get back to real world....work, work, work!! LOL.
I will have more on the copic's next week, but for now I am so behind in my challenges and blogging it is ridiculous!! Just the week I go away you all go "turbo", making a ton of cards, sheer torture to have missed so much. I will be blog stalking tonight to catch up on all your fabulous creations.
This is my card for the PBSC #41. The challenge this week is "Doodling". Well that is right up my alley...I am a doodling maniac. Especially when I talk on the phone....any paper near me doesn't stand a chance!! hahaha!! I tried not to over do it on my card, though...trust me it could have been worse. I thought about doing the edges and the bottom but I controled myself and stopped!
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I stamped it twice and cut and layered the flowers and butterflies, using silicone to layer them. I almost always use silicone (from my paper tole days) as you can move the image into the perfect position and it only takes about 10 mins to set. Also if you ever want to remove it after it is totally dry you just have to cut the hunk of silicone and peel it off to start again.
I cut the dp behind the image with scallop scissors and used my scallop nestie for the yellow paper. The dp is from Daisy D's. I used my MS flower punch for the border and my scallop scissors for the yellow bottom border. Last but not least....there are some stickles.
Hope you like it...and Thanks for stopping by.....
Have a fabulous day!!

You girls seem to have alot of fun. Love the card. I have learned to never just take a glance at your creations. There are layers and colors and blending and stamping that goes way beyond what my 2 little eyes pick up. I adore your work.

ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteSorry I have not been around lately. I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming to visit my blog and leaving such heartfelt comments. I truly do cherish your friendship.....you always say that you hope I am doing well. So far, so good! We are in the throes of a divorce (not ours but our daughter and son-in-law.) It got ugly there for a while but things seem to be settling down. Our part in all of this is giving our Grandgirls some normalcy as all this is happening so we are doing a lot of "girl-sitting" which I don't mind at all.
Your card is wonderful, my Friend! That bow is absolutely AWESOME!
Love ya, Glee
Where do I start? ;) I like the little scallops from the scissors, then framed with the larger scallops. The bow...of course that stood out to right away - because I am ribbon/bow challenge. It is gorgeous, and I love the little curly tendrils with the tiny flowers coming from the center of it. The image is adorable, and your coloring is perfection.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card, love your colouring and the gorgeous papers x
