HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #48
Good morning everyone...
I hope you are all having a great weekend.
It's time for the High Hopes Challenge and this weeks challenge is "RECYCLE".
So you can use up your scraps.. old buttons ...embellishments from other projects...decorating a container...whatever you like. I'm sure there are some amazing ideas out there....I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!
Here in Canada we are celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow...so I decided to make these cute boxes, a little something extra for the dinner table. I am using the pattern from my sweet blogging friend Curt, who revised the pattern to fit with the nestabilities labels. So I guess you could say I am recycling the pattern...lol!! The fabulous thing about these boxes is that they hold 2 individually wrapped Reece's peanut butter cups. WTG Curt!! The boxes on Curt's blog are made for Halloween and they are a must see!!
The images I am using are "Tom's Plea", "Sm. Turkey", "Oak Corners" and the "Gobble Gobble" sentiment..
I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows. I used my white Inkssentials pen for the highlights. For my recylcing I used the oak corners and acorns cut from the oak border which I took from another card, some papers scraps and a button. I used raffia for the bow and a different CB folder for each box. The DP is from Darcie's, the netting is from Magenta and I also added some stickles.
I still have a few to make tomorrow and hope to post them some time next week.
I hope you will have time to play along with us this week and don't forget to stop by the High Hopes blog to see what the other Diva's have created to inspire you.
Have a fabulous day and a Happy Thanksgiving...
Thanks so much for stopping by...
