Good morning.....

Are you ready for the Wags N' Whiskers Sneak Peeks??

Today and tomorrow the Diva's will be sharing the new release images followed by Friday's release and Blog Hop!!

There are 8 fun Sport themed stamps designed by our talented artist Cris de Lara.

The adorable image I am using is " Go For Goal".


I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. The frames were cut with my nesties. I used a CB folder for the first layer. The brads were made with my I Top tool. I also used some raffia lace . The DP is from DCWV paper pack.

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #69

Good morning everyone

I hope you are all having a great weekend. It's a bit of a dreary day here today...looks like rain. But that's ok as all the little sprouts are popping through the garden and my lilac trees are starting to bud....I'm sure will be very happy with some rain.

It's time for the High Hopes Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to us by our lovely and talented Diva Nikki and she has chosen "Little Gem". Nikki would like us to use little gems or beads on our creations this week.

The adorable image I used for my card is "Cherry Chip Chimp".


I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used liquid applique for the icing. The scallop frame was cut with my nesties. I added some brown bugle beads and some flat backed pearls for the sprinkles. The DP is from Darcie's.

It's time for the Wags N Whiskers Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to us by the lovely Tina and she has given us a fabulous sketch to follow.


The beautiful image I am using for my card is "Easter Blessings".


I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows.
I used my MS punch for the bottom border. The flowers were made with my Ek Success retro flower punches and the frond is a MS punch. I added some flat backed pearls too.

COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE #41

Good morning everyone
I hope your week is going well.

It's time again for the Colour Create Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to you by "The Design Team" and we have chosen "Your Choice of Pastel Colours". The optional extra is "Spring or Easter".

an amazingly talented artist and we are so lucky to have her on our design team too!!!


I have chosen the Easter theme and have made a couple of plant stakes. My sweet friend Tina showed me how to make these last year....and they were so much fun to do I decided to make some more.
The images are from High Hopes..."Bunny Blooms" and "Bunny with a gift".


I chose a 3/8" Birch wood. It is painted with a coat of pickling paint...which is a thin white primer. When it has dried...(I left it overnight)...I cut them out with my scroll saw leaving an edge all the way around. I stamped and embossed the images with Perfect Medium and black embossing powder. I painted them with watered down white acrylic paint. When that was dry I used a glue pen around the edges and sprinkled on white glitter. I drilled a 1/4" hole in the bottom and added a 1/4" dowel. A couple of little bows and there you have it...Easter plant stakes!!!

High Hopes Challenge #68

Good morning everyone..

It's time for the High Hopes Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to us by the lovely Lacey and she has chosen "Spring or Easter".

The adorable image I have used on my card this week is "Bunny Blooms".



I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I added some white liquid applique for her little tuft and tail. I cut the card free hand and used my nesties for the octagon layers. I embossed all the white layers with CB folders. I embossed the sentiment with black onto acetate. I also added some flat backed pearls.

I have sent this card off to the card drive for Maragret for her 100th Birthday on Easter Sunday. You can see the card drive link on my sidebar. There is still time if you are interested in sending a card as the card drive is open until April 3/10.

Wags N' Whiskers Challenge #16

Happy Friday everyone....

We have been setting records here in SW Ontario...weather wise that is!! Today we are looking forward to 17c....but can you believe they are calling for snow on Monday, how can that be...lol!! I hope the weather man is wrong because I am really enjoying this sunshine!!

It's time for the Wags N' Whiskers Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to us the lovely Chris and she has chosen "Pop it Up"....add dimension to your card.

The gorgeous image I have chosen for my card is
"Say a Prayer"


I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I added waterfall and frosted lace stickles to her wings. The ovals were cut with my nesties and the border is punched with a MS doily lace punch. I covered the ribbon with stickles and added some flat backed pearls. The flowers were punched with my EK Success retro flower punches and the frond is a MS punch.

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #67

Good morning everyone

We had some nasty weather roll through here yesterday....cold, windy and rainy, but the up side is there is not a flake of snow left!! Spring is truly on it's way!!!

This weeks High Hopes Challenge is brought to us by the lovely Amy L and she has chosen "Flutterbys"......anything with wings.

There are lots of High Hopes images with wings...from angels to dragons and if you don't have a winged image....try adding wings to an image you have...like some of our very talented and amusing Diva's have done. Be sure to check out the High Hopes Blog to see creativity at work!!!



The adorable image I have used on my card is "Frances Owl" and "You're a Hoot" sentiment.

You will be shocked to know that I put my Tombows away for this one.......
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Ranger Distress inks......it's about time I tried something different...eh!!
I used icicle H2o's on her eyes. I cut out some extra flowers for around the sentiment. The frames were cut with my nesties. The bottom borders were punched with my EK Success border punch and the scallop border was cut with a pair of scallop scissors and I used my piercing tool to add the holes. The DP is from a Basic Grey paper pack.

Colour Create and Wags N' Whiskers Challenges

Good morning everyone...

It has been such a crazy busy week for me. With time so limited I have combined my Colour Create Challenge with my Wags N' Whiskers Challenge.

The Colour Create Challenge is brought to us by "Heather" and she has chosen "Mint, Chocolate and Cream" with the optional extra of "Texture".

The Wags N' Whiskers Challenge is hosted by "Michele" and she has asked us to "Make Our Own Flowers".




It wasn't until I took the picture that I realized my green is not very minty.....but it looked good at the time...lol!!!

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I distressed the edges with Ranger distress vintage photo ink. I punched holes in the card and threaded the ribbon. The flowers were punched with my EK Success retro flower punches. The fern is made with my MS punch. The DP is from Basic Grey.

Happy Sunday!!!
It's time again for the High Hopes Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to us by the lovely Danielle and she has chosen "Stars". Now you can use star shapes , star dust...
anything you like that has to do with stars.

The adorable image I have used on my card is "Bedtime Bear" and "Shoot for the moon" sentiment.



I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I stamped, embossed and cut out a large and 2 small stars. I stamped the large star and dots onto the red cs with Perfect Medium and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I cut the circles with my nesties. I added some curled wire to the charm and stars.

WAGS N' WHISKERS CHALLENGE #14

Good morning everyone
I hope you are all having a great week so far. Are you ready for the Wags N' Whiskers Challenge?? This weeks challenge is brought to you by ME....and I have chosen "Tags or Bookmarks".

The adorable image I have used for my bookmark is "Bedtime Story".

I really liked these corner bookmarks and decided to give it a try. They can be made in any size...but for mine I have used a 4.5" square.
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used my white pigment ink pen for the highlights and dots on the scallop. The ovals have been cut with my nesties. I punched the flower and the fern with my MS punches. I also added some flat backed pearls. The DP is from DCWV Indian Summer paper pack.
