HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #48

Good morning everyone...
I hope you are all having a great weekend.
It's time for the High Hopes Challenge and this weeks challenge is "RECYCLE".
So you can use up your scraps.. old buttons ...embellishments from other projects...decorating a container...whatever you like. I'm sure there are some amazing ideas out there....I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!

Here in Canada we are celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow...so I decided to make these cute boxes, a little something extra for the dinner table. I am using the pattern from my sweet blogging friend Curt, who revised the pattern to fit with the nestabilities labels. So I guess you could say I am recycling the pattern...lol!! The fabulous thing about these boxes is that they hold 2 individually wrapped Reece's peanut butter cups. WTG Curt!! The boxes on Curt's blog are made for Halloween and they are a must see!!

The images I am using are "Tom's Plea", "Sm. Turkey", "Oak Corners" and the "Gobble Gobble" sentiment..

I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows. I used my white Inkssentials pen for the highlights. For my recylcing I used the oak corners and acorns cut from the oak border which I took from another card, some papers scraps and a button. I used raffia for the bow and a different CB folder for each box. The DP is from Darcie's, the netting is from Magenta and I also added some stickles.
I still have a few to make tomorrow and hope to post them some time next week.

I hope you will have time to play along with us this week and don't forget to stop by the High Hopes blog to see what the other Diva's have created to inspire you.

Have a fabulous day and a Happy Thanksgiving...
Thanks so much for stopping by...

COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE #29

Good morning everyone;

It's time again for the Colour Create Challenge...can you believe 2 weeks have passed already!! The colours this week are awesome...brought to us by the lovely Janiel and they are "Red, Yellow, Black and White" and the extra option is "Checkers and Flowers.

Here is a little inspiration to get you started.....

The sponsor this week is "Sketching Stamper Digi Shop"

I have been itching to play around with my Popcorn Bear stamps and thought this would be a great time to colour one up. The only problem was Popcorn is usually brown...well guess what...today he is a black bear...lol!! I was doing lots of humming and hawing as I was colouring him, but when I was finished I thought he turned out rather cute. What do you think??

I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows. I used my white Inkssentials pen for the highlights. I cut a frame from cardboard and covered it with the checkered paper. The corner embellies are stickers and I coloured them with my black Identa-pen. I cut out and layered the little duck to the frame. The borders are punched with my MS and EK Success punches and I added some black flat backed pearls. The sentiment is stamped with Stazon onto white shrink film, cut with my fancy scissors and shrunk. I made the bow with my fab Bow Easy.
I hope you like it.

I hope you will all have a chance to play along with us.....
Have a fabulous day...and Thanks for stopping by.

The High Hopes Challenge this week is brought to us by our adorable Diva Amy and she has chosen "Lotsa Layers"

The image I am using is "Let the Snow Begin". I just love this image, one of my all time favorites and trust me when I say, I have soooo many favorites....lol!!

I painted dries clear glue around the edges of the card, snow areas and the icicles and added fine diamond dust. I added stickles to the ribbon. The snowflakes are punched with my MS and EK Success punches and I added the diamond dust and layered them. The designer paper is from Darcie's.
