COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE #35

...Hello everyone....

I hope your holidays were just wonderful. It's hard to believe it New Years Eve already. We are going to celebrate quietly with some of our friends for dinner. Too old to party hardy anymore...LOL!!

It's time again for the Colour Create Challenge.

This weeks challenge is hosted by the lovely Sharon and she has chosen a fresh and zingy combo...."LEMON and LIME".
Here is a little inspiration to get you going.

The extra option this week is "FLOWERS".
I hope you will have time to play along with us.

The adorable images I have used on my card are "Silly Goose".... image and sentiment.... "Daisy Garden Border" and "Katie's Bouquet" from "High Hopes".
The colours haven't quite come out the way they look in RL...maybe its time for a new camera!!

I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows and the white on the flower petals and the goose is H2o's icicle. I cut out some of the flowers and the goose and layered them and also used some of them for the corners. The dp is from Darcies. I also used some stickles on the little yellow flowers. The dots on the background is a stubby stamp..Dots...by Stamps by Judith.

I hope you like it. Be sure to stop by the Colour Create blog as the DT have created some fabulous cards to inspire you too.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a very "Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!!"

Colour Create Challenge #34

Good morning everyone:
I hope your week is going well and all your Christmas gifts bought, wrapped and you are all prepared........probably not if you are anything like me!!...lol. I am running in circles as we are having our Christmas dinner this Sunday. Work schedules have gotten in the way this year so we are celebrating just a little early. Lots left to do, barely enough time to do my challenge posts so please forgive me if I haven't been by your blogs.

The Colour Create Challenge is hosted by the lovely Dena and she has chosen "Burgandy, Pink and Ivory". The extra option is "Roses". Here is a little inspiration to get you going. Our sponsor this week is....
"Simon Says Stamp"

I am doing something a little different for this challenge, some embroidery and ribbon roses.

This is a pattern that was taught in a class at "The Rubber Room" by an amazing teacher and friend, Marten. He also does the most amazing embroidered framed pictures.

The first step is to attach the pattern to the card stock and pierce all the holes. After the embroidery was done I pierced more holes to make the ribbon roses. The roses are very easy to do. I have a link here if you want to give them a try.

I used a corner embossing punch for the corners and the dp is Basic Grey. The sentiment is a sticker that I coloured with my Identa pens.

I hope you like it....Be sure to stop by the Colour Create blog and see the gorgeous creations the Design Team have come up with to inspire you.

Have a wonderful week and Thanks so much for stopping by...

WAGS N' WHISKERS SNEAK PEEKS

Good morning everyone.....
I am so excited to show you a sneak peek of the "New Release" from Wags N Whiskers stamps. The new images by the amazingly talented Crissy Armstrong are just gorgeous and I'm sure you will agree after you see them!! The images will be for sale on Friday as well as a Blog Hop with some fabulous prizes to be won.

For my sneak peek I have chosen "Bubble Fun".

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used siam white H2o's for her stockings. I added some Stickles to her collar and cuffs. The bubbles were coated with Glossy Accents. I used my scallop scissors for the white, embossed it with a CB folder and sponged some Versa fine rose ink on it. The flowers were punched with my MS hydrangea punch and I added some flat back pearls for the centers. I sewed without thread around the edges of the card, it was so much faster than piercing it by hand, besides I would never ever have gotten the holes in a straight line...lol!! The paper is from DCWV paper pack.

I hope you like it....

Be sure to check out the Wags N Whiskers blog for all the information for Friday's Blog Hop, which I am sure you will not want to miss!!

There may be some hidden candy too so be sure to leave a comment as you check out the beautiful creations the Diva's have designed.

Happy Friday....
It's my double post day, I'll try to keep them short and sweet!!

This week at the Wags N Whiskers Challenge #5 the theme is "Distressing". I don't do too much distressing on my cards, but I gave it my best shot!!

The fabulous image I am using this week is "Super Ryan".

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. Ryan's cape is painted with icicle H2O's. I used my nesties for the stars and the frame. The white cs was embossed with a CB embossing folder and I distressed it with Versa Magic...Wheat. The DP is from a DCWV paper stack.

You must use a Wags N' Whiskers image on your card to be eligible for your chance to win this weeks fab prize.

Be sure to stop by the WnW's blog as the Diva's have some gorgeous creations to share with you.

This weeks challenge over at the Motivet Blog is a fabulous sketch.

There are 12 new images in the Motivet release and everyone of them is just "the cutest". If you haven't seen them yet, get yourself over to the Motivet Shop and take a look.

The adorable image I am using this week is "Birthday Morris" from the new release.

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used a Gelly Roll metallic silver pen on the icing dots. The frame was made with my nesties and the bg is embossed with a CB folder. I stamped the sentiment onto shrink film with Stazon black and heated it to shrink it. The border is a MS punch.
