HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #46
Good morning everyone....
I hope you all are having a great weekend. The week has just flown by....and it's time again for the High Hopes Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to us by Ying and she has chosen "Happy Birthday". I just so happens that we are celebrating Ying's birthday tomorrow, Danielle's birthday yesterday and also the blogoversary of the High Hope Challenge.
One year already...wow!!
The image I have chosen for this "Happy Birthday" celebration is Baby Buggy.
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used stickles on all the white areas.The wheels were made with my sweet new toy...the I top brad maker. I wasn't sure about it at first, but as it turns out....I love it!! I used my oval nesties for the frame and pierced each of the scallops. The yellow accent was done with my MS doily lace punch. I hand printed the tag and used my tag maker for the frame. The frame was silver so I used my black identa-pen to colour it.
I hope you have time to play along with us this week, there is a fabulous set of birthday stamps as the prize. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!! For more inspiration be sure to check out the other Diva's blogs to see their fabulous creations.
Have a great Sunday...and Thanks so much for stopping by...

Good morning everyone;
I hope you are all having a great week. It's time again for the Colour Create Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to you by our delightful Di and she has chosen...."Hot Pink, Dusky Pink and Ice Chocolate". The extra option is "Swirls and Pearls.
Here is a little inspiration to get you started, the sponsor this week is "Simon Says Stamp".
The image I have chosen is "Hilda Bundled Up" one of the new release stamps from Motivet. I thought this colour scheme would be just perfect for her!!
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I stamped some swirls on the brown card with Perfect Medium and embossed it with clear powder. I used liquid applique on the fur on her jacket and heat set it. I layered the DP in 2 sections each section with pink cardstock edged with my EK Success scallop border punch. The oval frame was cut with my nesties and I added a pearl to each scallop.
I hope you like it.
Be sure to check out the gorgeous creations by my teamies, lots of inspiration to get your mojo goin'. I hope you will have time to join us for this challenge, I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #45
Good morning everyone;
Here it is Sunday again, time for The High Hopes Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to you by Jeanne and she has chosen...."Playing Favorites". Jeanne would like you all to make a card with your favorite High Hopes image. Well, I don't know about you but this was an extremely difficult challenge for me. I have waaayyy too many favorite images...so I decided to go with an oldie but goodie... "Country Snowman and Snowman Greeting". Is this not the most adorable snowman....ever!!
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used my white Inkssentials pen for the white dots and highlights. I also used some stickles. I embossed the whole card with my CB snowflake folder and used my MS punch for the icicles. The red was cut with my fancy pinking scissors and the orange paper is from Darcie's. I used some diamond dust for the snow. The lg snowflake was punched with my MS punch and the small ones with my EK Success punch. I curled some red wire and attached the sm. snowflakes. I added a clear dew drop to the centers of the snowflakes.
I finished the inside with a small oval nestie cut-out of the image and the "Snowman Greeting" sentiment. I really like the way the embossing shows through onto the inside as well.
I hope you all have time to play along with us this week and don't forget to stop by the High Hopes blog and see what the other Diva's have created to inspire you.
Have a wonderful day, Thanks so much for stopping by.....

High Hopes Challenge # 44
Hello everyone;
It's time again for another High Hopes Challenge. We have a great challenge for you today, "Wrap it Up" and it is brought to you by Inge.
I decided to try my hand at an Origami box.
I have used the new release Thanksgiving images......Pilgrim Pair, Sm. Turkey, Oak leaf corner and border and the Happy Thanksgiving and Gobble Gobble sentiments.
I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows. I stamped the oak leaf corner onto the top of the box with Perfect medium. The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto acetate. I cut out and layered the images onto the labels that were die cut with my nesties and embossed with a CB folder. I also added some stickles.
On the inside of the box I used the smaller nesties labels and embossed with the same CB folder. I cut out all the images and layered them with foam tape. I added some stickles and coloured the back of the dew drops with a black identa pen.
The box is filled with some delicious chocolate truffles!!
I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the High Hopes blog to see the gorgeous creations the other Diva's have come up with to inspire you. I hope you will have time to play along with us this week.

Colour Create Challenge #27 and some awesome news
Good morning everyone;
Can you believe 2 weeks has gone by already. Well it's time for another fabulous Colour Create Challenge. This weeks challenge is brought to us by Jo and she has chosen "Neon Green and Black". The optional extra is "Leaves and a Charm"
Here is a little inspiration to get you started.
Well I am always water colouring and so I decided to do a technique for this challenge. I absolutely love this colour scheme and this is what I came up with.
The technique I am doing on my card is Brass Stencils and Embossing Paste. This is a little messy, but a lot of fun. I mixed Kiwi Primary Elements, which is a pigment powder, with clear embossing paste. I attached the brass stencil to the black background paper with painters tape to make the frame. You pick up a glob of the embossing paste with a pallet knife and spread it onto the stencil like you are icing a cake. Once you have the holes on the stencil all filled you scrape off the excess so the depth of the paste is only as thick as the brass stencil. Take the tape off 3 sides and gently lift it like a hinge, so you don't smear the paste. I set that piece aside and repeated the process with the leaf brass stencil doing it twice. I did the same thing with another brass stencil with butterflies. Once everything is dry, I left it over night, I cut out and layered a swirl and the bottom leaf. I glued them on with dries clear glue just at the very ends, so I could lift them a little. I cut out the butterflies and used foam tape to attach them. Once the paste is dry it has a fabulous texture, almost like rubber. I used a sticker for the sentiment. It was a silver sticker and I coloured it with a green Identa pen. That's pretty much it....I hope you like it.

The Feel of Fall
Hi everyone,
This is just going to have to be a quick post tonight, but I wanted to post my card for Flourishes "The Feel of Fall" challenge. I have a horrid neck and back ache due to being rear ended in my car tonight. A young man not paying attention to his driving in his mom's truck. I'm hoping I don't feel too much worse tomorrow.....that won't be good!!
On to my card...the challenge is a fabulous sketch and the image I am using is from the new release "Gerbera Daisies".
I flipped the sketch, I hope that's ok. I really wanted the bow on the bottom.
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I embossed and painted the center flower again and cut it out and layered it. The border is my MS doily lace punch. The DP is from Imaginisce. I also added some stickles.
I hope you like it...Thanks for stopping by.

High Hopes Challenge #43
Hello everyone;
I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was very busy even with the extra day off.
I'm so happy to see the High Hopes Challenge is back in full swing, I was starting to have withdrawals....lol!!
The challenge this week is brought to us by Michelle and she has chosen "Fall into Autumn".
I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows. I stamped the boy twice and cut him out. I stamped, coloured and cut out the leaves for the border and inside the wheel barrow. I layered the leaves in the wheel barrow and popped up the little boy on top of the leaves. I also used the leaf stamp with Perfect Medium for the frame. The green behind the frame was embossed with a CB folder. The DP is from Darcie's. I painted the back of the dew drops with acrylic paint to match the dots on the paper. I also added a some stickles.
I hope you like it....Thanks so much for stopping by

Flourishes....Timeless Tuesday #31
Hello everyone;
It's been so busy around here I haven't had too much time to join in on my favorite challenges. I was able to grab a few hours yesterday to make a card for Flourishes, Timeless Tuesday challenge. The theme this week is no colouring, so I decided to make a Pergamano card.
The image I have used is from the set Sweet Violets.
I stamped the image with Stazon black onto a piece of photo copy paper to use as my pattern. I used ordinary parchment paper for the card. I taped down the parchment to the pattern and traced it with my Pergamano white ink pen. I don't think the effect of the ink is as great with the pen, I actually prefer to use my mapping pen and bottle of white Tinta ink. After it was all traced I embossed all the flowers, leaves and stems. I used a stippling effect with a 1 needle tool for the centers and hull of the flowers. I used my regular grid to add the embossed dots around the edges. The edges of the card are pierced with a 3 needle tool and then snipped with my handy little Pergamano scissors. I embossed a little butterfly and cut it out and layered it. I also added a tiny bit of stickles to the flower centers and leaves. I used a piece of rainbow parchment for the inside card.
I have added a pic for you to see the tools I used to make this card. There are lots of other tools, these are just a few.
It is so hard to get a decent picture of my Pergamano cards, too much light against the parchment paper, they do look a lot nicer in RL. If you click on the pic you will see it much better. I hope you like it.
CLASS CARD
I also want to share with you the card we are doing in class this month. It is done using a few different tools, angle and hockey stick. This is from a Pergamano book of patterns.The inside card is red vellum.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Have a great day....
