HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #82

Happy Sunday!!

It's time for the High Hopes Challenge.
This weeks challenge is brought to us by "Jeanne" and she has chosen "Super Star....add a star to your creation".

The fabulous image I am using today is "Pelican Post" from the High Hopes new release by Dustin Pike. I also used "Findlay....3 star corner and cattails"


I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. The pelican body is painted with icicle H2o's. I stamped the stars and cattails with Ranger archival jet black ink. I stamped Findlay with Stazon black onto white shrink film to make the charm. The background is sponged with Ranger Distress inks. I also added some stickles.

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. The flower is punched with my Ek Success retro flower punch. The leaves are made from ribbon and the slider was made with a
template. The papers are from a DCWV paper pack.

WAGS N' WHISKERS SNEAK PEEK DAY 2

I hope you are enjoying the Wags N' Whiskers sneak peeks!!

Such adorable images from our new artist "Emma Metcalf".

These new images will be released in digi and rubber Friday June 25th.....but there is only a limited amount in rubber so don't delay when they are released tomorrow....you don't want to be disappointed.

This adorable little pooch is "Buddy's Balloon".


I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I embossed the paw prints on the frame with Perfect medium and clear powder. I added some dots with my Inkssentials white pen and added some flat backed pearls. The DP is from Basic Grey.

I hope you are all having a great week so far. Today is day 1 of the Wags N' Whiskers sneak peeks by their new artist...Emma Metcalf. The new images are absolutely adorable and are from the collection..."Let's Party".

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I stamped happy day with Perfect Medium onto the green cs. The DP is from Darcie's.

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #81

Happy Sunday everyone,

It's time for the High Hopes Challenge.

I have chosen an image from the new release by Melissa....."Lazy Susan Buggies". I just love all the swirls, dots, hearts and beautiful flowers on this one!!


I embossed the image 3 times with black and painted them with Tombows. I cut out and layered the bees and flowers. The ovals were cut with my nesties and I added dots with my Inkssentials white gel pen. I also added some stickles and dew drops for the flower centers.
The DP is from Basic Grey.

The gorgeous image I am using for my card is "Tiny Dancer".


I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. The oval frame was cut with my Colluzzle and the green frame with my fancy scissors. The vellum flowers were punched with my MS Hydrangea punch and the leaves with my MS fronds punch. I added some flat backed pearls to the centers. I also used lots of stickles.

COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE and HIGH HOPES SNEAK PEEK DAY 2

Hello everyone.....
I hope you are enjoying the High Hopes Sneak Peeks. I have another one for you today along with the Colour Create Challenge.


This weeks Colour Create Challenge is brought to you by "ME". I am really living up to my name with this one....it's a pretty wacky challenge......but I hope you will like it.

The inspiration for this challenge came from a poster my daughter gave me...she knows only too well how I love vibrant colours and of course Johnny...lol!!





So my challenge is....."Use a white card
and choose at least 2 colours from
the poster. The optional extra is
"any element from the poster....
gems, pins, ribbon, feathers etc".



The sponsor this week is "Wink Wink Ink".


The images I am using are from "Suzy Toronto" ......"Forever Friends" and "Flower Border".
I decided to make an Easel Card.....but this one has a twist!! I made it into a photo display.




I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows. The pearls are made with Ranger white enamel and I added beads to the flower centers and red earrings. I used my MS punch for the border.


To make the photo display I cut several extra pages an 1/8" smaller than the white card backing piece. I used my Zutter to cut the holes and bind them. It's actually no different than making the card front....just has extra pages behind. I was worried it would be too heavy but it stands up just fine.

The flowers were punched with my Ek Success retro flower punch and the hearts are from my MS heart border punch. I added glossy accents to the hearts and layered them. I also added some flat backed pearls. The DP is from Basic Grey Sugar Rush.

More High Hopes Excitment!!!!

Good morning everyone....

Well we have certainly had some excitement over the last week at High Hopes!!!!
A fabulous new release from our man Dustin Pike and now a new and wonderful addition to the High Hopes Family.....

I am so excited to introduce you to our new and amazing artist..."Melissa Jenkins".
Some of you might already be familar with Melissa's work......her unique "girly girl" style with swirls and hearts and adorable characters.

Today and tomorrow the Diva's will sharing some sneak peeks of the new release with a blog hop and release on Friday with some amazing prizes to be won. I fell in love with this little "Teacup Mouse" and decided she would be the first image I would ink up......



I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I cut out the flower petals and tiny hearts and layered them. The frames were cut with my nesties. I added some dew drops and stickles. The DP's are from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush paper pad.

WAGS N' WHISKERS NEW RELEASE

Win, Win, Win!!!!

We are so excited to announce that we will have a new release on Friday, 25th June!!! This release will be available in Digital Format only.... for now ;-) We have more exciting news to share with you in that this release is with our fabulous new artist Emma Metcalf. We are thrilled that Emma will be joining us and sharing her cute designs. Emma is a children's illustrator based in the UK. Our designers are already having fun colouring the new images!

The sneak peeks will begin on Wednesday, 23rd June on the Divas Blogs!! We will have links to the participating blogs listed here, too. The peeks will continue on Thursday, 24th June.
There will be a Blog Hop here beginning at 12:01 EST/5:00am GMT on Friday, 25th June!!!. Then at 7:00 am/noon GMT the Digi's will go live in the stores with links here on the blog.

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used rock candy distress stickles on the background and painted the bones with Ranger white enamel accents. The borders are punched with my Ek Success swiss cheese punch and embossed with my CB folder tiny bubbles. I also added some dew drops. The paper is from Crate Paper.

I couldn't help inking this fabulous image first.....it's my absolute favorite.....

I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I added doodles to some of the party hats with my Inkssentials white gel pen. I also added lots of stickles and some flat backed pearls. The papers are from Basic Grey.

Wags N' Whiskers Challenge #26

Good morning everyone;

It's time for the Wags N" Whiskers Challenge.

This weeks challenge is brought to us by the lovely Michele and she has chosen "Distressing Time.....distress your papers".

The awesome image I have used is "Speed Racer".




I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. There is glossy accents on the lights and windshield. I used a hand crimping tool to corrugate the cardstock. I used Ranger black soot and pumice stone distress inks for the distressing. The large brad is made with my I-Top tool.

We have had a rainy week here in SW Ontario...but today is supposed to be much better!!

Colour Create Challenge #45

Good morning everyone.....
It's time for the Colour Create Challenge.

The beautiful image I am using today is from "Lily of the Valley"...."Fairie Thistledown".
I have had this stamp for ages and never used it but I thought it would be perfect for this delicate colour scheme.



I embossed the images with black and painted them with Distress ink. I cut out the extra flowers and layered them with foam tape. I also added some waterfall stickles and flat backed pearls. The corners were punched with my MS loop punch. The DP is from Magenta. My something soft is the pretty organza ribbon.
