Hello everyone:
As you know, Cathy and I took a Copic course last week and of course we had to buy some Copic markers. Now THIS is what happens when you leave your Copic's on your desk, unguarded..... Joe happens....LOL!!
Cathy's DH, Joe decided he would see what all the hoopla was about and took it upon himself to give them a try. Well, what do you think of this??
We couldn't beleive our eyes!! I haven't even had a chance to work with them yet....I don't think I need to bother now.
I helped Joe put the card together with strict rules of no flowers or bows. Too funny!!
Joe colored the image with copics on Prism paper. He used the Copic multiliner in the grass area and for the flies. I used my MS punch for the bottom. I managed to get a small piece of ribbon in there, as well as a few dew drops. I also put a couple of rivets in the sentiment and threaded a piece of ribbon in there too. I think he did a fabulous job of his very first card. WTG Joe!!
I hope you like it,
Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by....

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #24
Good morning everyone;
Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. It's raining and dreary here....a good day to stay in and create!!
This is my card for the HHC #24. Ila has chosen this weeks challenge which is "Creative Borders".
I have been itching to use these stamps "Seymore's Sick Day" and "Tail not Waggin'". He is soooo adorable and I just love the sentiment.
For my creative borders I used my Martha Stewart punch and my spellbinders lables.
I embossed the image with black, twice and painted them with Tombows. I cut out the feet and head and shaped and layered them. I also added a little shaping to his tail. The toenails and spikes are painted with a Souffle pen. I stamped part of the sentiment..."a little dragon" and the dragon footprints with Stazon onto a piece of shrink film and shrunk em down....do you not just love the little footprints?? I thought they turned out sooo darn cute!! I stamped the footprints onto the tan background with Perfect Medium and glued it to a piece of dp from DCWV "Once Upon a Time stack. I also used some glossy accents on the thermometer and as a glue to hold the sentiment on the front.
I used the same paper on the inside from the DCWV stack. I also stamped the footprints, hearts and dots with Perfect Medium. I added a couple of little feet to the bow on the front, gluing them down with Glossy accents.
I hope you like it and have a great day!!
Thanks for stopping by....

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #41
Hello everyone;
Wow, what a week this has been. I was in Toronto for a few days, just got back last night. We had a great time, Cathy and I went to get our Copic certification. A full day of fun....wish we could have stayed for the rest of the week as there is still more going on, but we had to get back to real world....work, work, work!! LOL.
I will have more on the copic's next week, but for now I am so behind in my challenges and blogging it is ridiculous!! Just the week I go away you all go "turbo", making a ton of cards, sheer torture to have missed so much. I will be blog stalking tonight to catch up on all your fabulous creations.
This is my card for the PBSC #41. The challenge this week is "Doodling". Well that is right up my alley...I am a doodling maniac. Especially when I talk on the phone....any paper near me doesn't stand a chance!! hahaha!! I tried not to over do it on my card, though...trust me it could have been worse. I thought about doing the edges and the bottom but I controled myself and stopped!
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I stamped it twice and cut and layered the flowers and butterflies, using silicone to layer them. I almost always use silicone (from my paper tole days) as you can move the image into the perfect position and it only takes about 10 mins to set. Also if you ever want to remove it after it is totally dry you just have to cut the hunk of silicone and peel it off to start again.
I cut the dp behind the image with scallop scissors and used my scallop nestie for the yellow paper. The dp is from Daisy D's. I used my MS flower punch for the border and my scallop scissors for the yellow bottom border. Last but not least....there are some stickles.
Hope you like it...and Thanks for stopping by.....
Have a fabulous day!!

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #23
Hello everyone;
I hope you are all having a great Sunday. Beautiful day here today....still a little nippy, but the prediction is for a hot dry spring this year. That's what the experts are saying, anyway!! I hope they are right.
This is my card for the HHC #23.
This weeks challenge is "Buttons Galore" chosen by the super talented Niki.
This sweet little bunny is called " Bunny with Gift"
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used some liquid applique on the tail and chest. I also used some stickles. The border is punched with my Martha Stewart punches doiley lace and flower border. The designer paper is by Magenta and the flower is a from Prima. This was a fun challenge, also gave me a chance to sort out my button box...LOL!!
Hope you like it.
Have a great day...and Thanks for stopping by...

3D Metallic Decoupage Sheets
Good morning everyone;
Well its Friday again...and what a beautiful sunny one it is for us here. There is still quite a cold nip in the air, but what more could we ask for on the first day of spring!!
These cards I am sharing today are just the greastest quick and easy card ever!! There are 3 cards per sheet and are all perforated, all you have to do is pop them out of the sheet and layer them and you are done.
After I pop them out I like to give each flower a little shape. I use my embossing pad and paper tole hockey stick....which is a shaping tool. Just lay the piece upside down on the foam and lightly smooth each petal with the shaping tool. You can shape it as much or as little as you like. I used foam tape to layer them. I am dissapointed in the pics, as they don't show the shimmer of the metallic paper very well. Anyway, I hope you like them...

HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #22
Hello everyone...
Well. we have had a couple of amazing days here in southwestern ontario, weather wise that is!! I am so glad to see the sun. Spring and fall are my favorite seasons.
I hope you are all having some great weather too!!
This is my card for the HHC #22. This weeks challenge is "No Patterned Paper".
I decided to make my own background paper, so off I went to see my friend Theresa's blog. I remembered she had a fab tutorial on how to make a grid background by sponging with ink. Well for any of you who don't know Theresa....she is the "Queen" of backgrounds, you should pop on over and take a look, her cards are just amazing!!
I started out trying to explain how to do the background, but it was turning into a novel, so you will be better off to go see Theresa's tutorial. LOL!!
I embossed the image with black and painted his hat and jacket with icicle H2o's. The rest of the image has been painted with Tombows. I cut him out and layered him on my nestabilities ovals, the white oval I used my CB swiss dot folder. I used a black glaze pen for the dots around the edges of the background and on the white oval embossed dots. The flowers were made with a punch. Of course I added some stickles too!
I hope you like it and Thanks so much for stopping by....

Pergamano
Hello everyone;
Hope you are all having a great start to your weekend. Its quite cold here today but the sun is shining and that is wonderful!! I have been away from my computer for a few days, a little under the weather but I am hopefull this will soon pass. I have quite a bit of catching up to do and hope I will get by to see all your wonderful creations this weekend.
I have been working on some new Pergamano projects. This first one is a fancy fold card. I traced the pattern with gold Tinta ink and then embossed some of the areas with my embossing tool. I used a piercing tool and scissors to make the little X's and a 2 needle tool to pierce the outline and cut it out. It was a bit tricky to get it folded, as the parchment paper is very brittle and you have to be soooo careful not to rip it.
I really enjoyed making these bookmarks. They are quite a bit faster to make than a card. I will be putting them in plastic sleeves, but as you can see I need to get some extra long ones for these bookmarks. I traced the patterns with white Tinta ink and used the same embossing and pricking techniques. The wavy spaces on the blue bookmark was done using a grid. I traced and cut out the extra butterflies and used silicone to layer them.
Pergamano is a great passion of mine. I have been fortunate to share this craft, through my classes with a wonderful group of ladies and they have been coming up with some amazing creations.
Anyone interested in giving Pergamano a try, all the starter kits and supplies are available now on-line at The Rubber Room. The starer kit has everything you will need (except the 2 needle split for the outside edge), it comes complete with instuctions, parchment paper, ink, mapping pen, embossing pad, embossing tool and 6 patterns to get you on your way. Also I am an e-mail away for any help you may need. I am also thinking about doing a pergamano tutorial, would love to have your input about that.
Well thats it for now.....I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and Thanks for stopping by.

Down on the Farm.....
Hello everyone.....
Hope you are all having a great weekend. Mine has been super busy, but I did manage to finish my card for the High Hopes Challenge # 21. The challenge this week is to use Zigs and Zags on your card. Not too much on mine, although the card itself could be considered a zig zag in itself! When I first saw the new release, I just knew there was another stair step card to be made in the near future.....LOL!!
So this is my card for the HHC #21.
The time painting and cutting in this card is incredible. Not a card you would give to just anyone....for sure!! Actually, I am just keeping this one for me because it makes me chuckle when I look at it.
Well, you all know the drill by now...I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows...LOL! I used my pergamano hockey stick (which is a shaping tool) to shape the image and give them a bit of depth. I used some ultra marine shimmerz on the sky, and white liquid pearls on the flower. I also used my MS punch for the bottom grass. The grass is super thick mulberry paper that I dampend and tore, I brushed it to make it fluffy. Lots of stickles too! I printed the sentiment from the computer.
I took this pic to show you a different angle, its hard to see everything when you
can't hold it in your hand and turn it all differnt ways.
I just love this guy..."Farmer Clem", he is too cute. I am happy with the way my card turned out....I hope you like it.
Have a great day....and Thanks so much for stopping by.

Man's Card
Good morning everyone:
Just another quick post today, I am very busy creating cards for our "Cards for a Cause Spring Workshop". Anyone in the London area that is interested, check out the details on the Rubber Room website. We had a fabulous turnout last year and a lot of fun too!!
This is a card I made for a man. I have a bit of trouble with man's cards because its tough not to add all the frilly dilly embellies we love so much. I did manage to sneak a piece of ribbon on it though.
I brayered Kalidecolor ink from the Cappachino pad onto glossy paper. The image is from Magenta. I stamped it with perfect medium and used black embossing powder. I used a stamps by Judith stubby for the little sprig on the background. Pretty quick and easy, no painting and near no embellishments.
Hope you all have a great day....

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #38
Good morning everyone;
Just a quick post today...a millon things to do and not enough time!!
This is my card for the PBSC. The challenge this week is "Something to Eat."
This is an older PB stamp, but she is sooo adorable I couldn't resist!!
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used an orange Gellyroll pen for her bikini and a little glossy accents under her feet. Just a tiny bit of stickles, too. I used my square nesties for the layers and the DP is from DCWV.
I stamped the sentiment onto acetate with black Stazon ink. I made the little fluffy bow for the corner with some sheer 1 1/2 in. ribbon.
I hope you like it and Thanks for stopping by.
Have a fabulous day!!

High Hopes Challenge #20
Good morning everyone.
I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was uneventful, just the way I like
it!! LOL. My DH is putting in a new bathroom at our DD's house, so I had lots of peace and quiet. Just me and my girl Layla, hangin' out together.
I happened to notice the counter hit 10,000 last week so I am putting together some candy to celebrate. I hope to have it ready by the middle of the week so be sure to stop back and join in the celebration!!
This is my card for the High Hopes Challenge #20. This weeks challenge is "That Fuzzy Feeling".
This adorable stamp is "Gardener Bunny".
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I stamped the little carrots onto the white paper with stazon and also colored them with Tombows. For the "Fuzz" I have used green flower soft on the carrot leaves. Are they leaves?? I am drawing a blank....hmmm, maybe they are stems or just ends. Anyway you know what I mean..lol! Also for "fuzz" I added some white flocking to the tips of his ears and on the front of his feet. Its hard to see that in the pic. I cut him out and used my shaping tool to round him out a bit and shape his ears. I used foam tape to layer him onto cardstock embossed with my cb folder. I also added some stickles.
I hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
