Pergamano

Hello everyone;
Hope you are all having a great start to your weekend. Its quite cold here today but the sun is shining and that is wonderful!! I have been away from my computer for a few days, a little under the weather but I am hopefull this will soon pass. I have quite a bit of catching up to do and hope I will get by to see all your wonderful creations this weekend.

I have been working on some new Pergamano projects. This first one is a fancy fold card. I traced the pattern with gold Tinta ink and then embossed some of the areas with my embossing tool. I used a piercing tool and scissors to make the little X's and a 2 needle tool to pierce the outline and cut it out. It was a bit tricky to get it folded, as the parchment paper is very brittle and you have to be soooo careful not to rip it.

I really enjoyed making these bookmarks. They are quite a bit faster to make than a card. I will be putting them in plastic sleeves, but as you can see I need to get some extra long ones for these bookmarks. I traced the patterns with white Tinta ink and used the same embossing and pricking techniques. The wavy spaces on the blue bookmark was done using a grid. I traced and cut out the extra butterflies and used silicone to layer them.

Pergamano is a great passion of mine. I have been fortunate to share this craft, through my classes with a wonderful group of ladies and they have been coming up with some amazing creations.

Anyone interested in giving Pergamano a try, all the starter kits and supplies are available now on-line at The Rubber Room. The starer kit has everything you will need (except the 2 needle split for the outside edge), it comes complete with instuctions, parchment paper, ink, mapping pen, embossing pad, embossing tool and 6 patterns to get you on your way. Also I am an e-mail away for any help you may need. I am also thinking about doing a pergamano tutorial, would love to have your input about that.

Well thats it for now.....I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and Thanks for stopping by.
