I just had to share this with you today...
As our kids are growing up, we never know if they are really listening to us or even have an eye on what we are doing. Well this just goes to show you they are watching and listening to us.
For the last couple of months my oldest daughter Chelle has been making cakes for her friends. She has no formal training, she has just been checking out the internet. I must say I am so impressed by her creations...especially this one she made today for a pot luck dinner tonight. Is this not adorable!!!
The penguins and trees are all made by hand out of fondant icing.
She is always telling me.."I'm not creative like you..Mom".
Well that is just not true. I think the apple does not fall too far from this tree.
Just when you least expect it...our kids shock the heck out of us..I love it.

The cake is beautiful, and YES she is talented. My sister does cakes and one has to be an artist. My sister also scraps, has Chelle ventured that way yet? I'm going to check out her blog right now.

OMGosh, she is very talented! It is so hard to make icing do what you want it to. I've tried it. I'll stick to coloring stamped images. Love this cake!
