COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE #24
Good morning everyone,
I haven't done too many challenges or too much blog stalking this week as we are on our last few days of holidays. There are still a few things we want to do...if it ever stops raining!! Actually yesterday was quite nice, but we will see what today will bring.
It's time for the Colour Create Challenge. The challenge is brought to you by Dena and she has chosen "Pink, Orange and Green". The optional extra is "Hearts".
Here is a little inspiration to help get your mojo going.
This fabulous image I am using today is "Popcorn the Bear". It was love at first sight with this little fella!!
I embossed the image with black onto water colour paper and painted it with Tombows. I used my white Inkssentials pen for the highlights. I also added lots of stickles. The corners are done with my basket weave punch. You can't see too much of my fab new raffia lace as these images are really large. I don't mind that the images are large, I just had to have them!! I bought the stamp and lace from "Bunny-Zoe's Store". The card measures 6.5 in.X 5.5in. I'm sure there will be a custom envelope made for this one. Other than the painting it was a quick card to put together.
I hope you will all have time to play along with us and remember it now runs for 2 weeks. The fab sponsor for this challenge is "Crafty Ribbons".
Be sure to pop on over to the Colour Create blog to see the gorgeous creations by the Design Team.
Have a great day.....Thanks so much for stopping by....

High Hopes Challenge #41
Hello everyone;
I was going to post earlier but a huge thunderstorm rolled through and the lights were flickering, so I thought it best not to be on the computer while this was going on. It has passed now and the temp has skyrocketed....yay!! Bring it on!!
The High Hopes Challenge this week is brought to us by the divine Diva, Nikki. She has chosen "Sparkle and Shine". I love this challenge and my "stickles"....thanks Nikki!!
The adorable images I am using is are Thankful Friends, Oak Corner and Oak Border. I try not to pick favorites, as I do love them all...but the turkeys in the new release are just soooo cute!!
I embossed the images with black and painted them with Tombows. I used icicle H2o's on his collar and cuffs and metallic silver Gelly Roll pen on his buckles. The dots are stamped with chateau grey Versa ink and the dot stubbie from Stamps by Judith. The highlights are done with my Inkssentials white gel pen. I embossed the burnt orange paper with a CB folder. The trim is from Bunny-Zoe's shop. I stamped the sentiments with Stazon black onto acetate. The borders are EK Success and MS punches.
That's pretty much it...I hope you like it.
Have a great Sunday....and Thanks so much for stopping by.

MOTIVET DT CARD
Good morning everyone,
Well the weekend is here again....and it is still raining in Southwestern Ontario. The weather has been crazy this summer, my poor plants leaves are turning yellow from to much water and not enough sun. The up side of it all is that it's not white and we don't have to shovel it...lol!!
Today's card is one of my DT cards for Motivet. I just love these fabulous little squirrels. The 2 new additions, "Morris and Hilda" are just as adorable as Doraline and Dexter!!
The image I have used is "Doraline as a Nurse".
I stamped the image with black Versa fine and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I painted it with Tombows. I used my nesties for the oval and oval scallop and my MS flower punch for the bottom border. The papers are from Basic Grey Marrakech paper pad. I added ribbon for the leaves and a few pearl embellies. I crocheted the flowers. My inspiration for the flowers comes from Bev. Stop by her blog for a butterfly and flower pattern, she has so generously shared. Thanks Bev!!
I hope you like it....Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day...

The Pink Elephant #24 and Penny Black Saturday Challenge # 58
Good morning everyone;
I hope you are all having a great week so far. I have managed to get a few cards done and this one is for The Pink Elephant Challenge and The Penny Black Saturday Challenge. TPE challenge this week is "Animals" and PBSC is "Soft and Sweet".
The image is from the set "Micey Day".
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used my Inkssentials pen for the highlights and Gelly Roll silver metallic pen for the spoon. I also added some stickles. I embossed and painted a second cherriy bunch, cut out and added to the ribbon. The circles are cut with my nesties. The bottom border was punched with my MS doily punch. I used my CB folder swiss dots on the doily piece and sponged it with Brilliance starlit black ink. The designer paper is from Graphic 45.
Have a great day...and Thanks for stopping by...

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday
Hello everyone;
I can't believe I am right on time today for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday. I am still having a great time with my new Flourishes stamps...the possibilities are endless with these fabulous sets. The host of this weeks challenge is Cindy Haffner and she wants us to use some Shimmerz on our cards.
The images I used are from the "Poppy Patch" set.
I have never done an all white card before so I thought I would give it a try.
I embossed the images on water color paper with black and painted them with Tombows. I cut each flower out, shaped them with a shaping tool and layered them with foam tape. I used Shimmerz "coal" on the black centers. The white highlights were done with my Inkssentials pen. The scallop frame is cut with my nesties and I used a CB folder on the white frame behind the flowers. I used my MS doily lace punch for the card and the third layer as well as the corners. The border on the second piece is a EK Success border punch and it was also embossed with a CB folder. The third layer is embossed with my CB folder swiss dots. I pierced the holes in the white frame with my Ornare piercing tool.
I am quite pleased with the way it turned out....hope you like it too!!
Have a great day, Thanks for stopping by.....

High Hopes Challenge #40
Good morning everyone,
I hope your weekend is going well. Lots of rain for us the last few days but nice weather is on the way...or so they say!!
This weeks High Hopes challenge is brought to us by Kimmie and she has chosen "Christmas in July". These fabulous new release images are just perfect for a step card....and you know how I can't resist those step cards....lol!! The images I used are "Let us Adore Him", Three Kings", and Herald Angel".
I embossed all the images with black and painted them with Tombows. I used liquid applique on the little lamb. The horn,the trim on one of the wise men and the stars on the angels hair are all colored with Gelly Roll Metallic gold and I added glossy accents to the gems on the wise men. The angels wings were painted with glue and I added fine white glitter, I also added some stickles here and there. I tore and brushed some sand colored thick mulberry paper for the steps and added some raffia bows. I edged the sentiment with a Versa embossing pen and dipped it into gold embossing powder and heat set. I used my Inkssentials pen for the highlights.
Of all the step cards I have done, I think this one is my favorite so far. I hope you like it, too.
The High Hopes new release is in stock at The Rubber Room in London, Ontario or for your convenience you can shop online.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great Sunday....

The challenges will run every 2 weeks so you have lots of time to get your creations together....I hope to see you there.
The challenge this week is "Blue and White"...with a touch of vintage. Here is the fab color scheme to inspire you. This challenge is also sponsored by "Simon Says Stamp" and it is for a $25.00 credit voucher.
The image I have chosen for my card is by Sunshine Designs.
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used white Liquid Pearls on the tips of the petals and the center pearls. The center of the flower has glossy accents on it. The frame was cut with my nesties and the borders are done with my MS doily lace punch. I pierced the edges of the scallops and added some pearls. I wish you could see the design in the blue dp...it has black swirls on it and is really pretty. My camera just wouldn't pick it up at all. That's too bad as that was my touch of vintage...lol!!
A very heartfelt Thank You to Sharon and the DT for inviting me to be a part of their fabulous team.

2 Challenges and my DT card
Hello all,
I hope you all had a great start to your week. Mine was great...my DH is back to work...yay!! He was so bored being at home and not able to do too much, so he was looking forward to going back yesterday.
I was looking for some inspiration the other day and came across Friday Sketchers challenge. Loved the layout so I decided to play along. I combined it with The Pink Elephant Challenge #23 and my Motivet DT card. This weeks Friday Shetchers #60 is sponsored by Motivet. The theme this week at TPE is a color challenge and the colors are Red, Light Blue and Darker Blue.
The adorable image I used is "Dexter Building a Snowman" and "Let it Snow" sentiment..
I stamped the image onto smooth water color paper with black Versa fine and embossed it with clear EP. I painted Dexter with Tombows and the snow and snowman with icicle H2O's. I used a black glaze pen to darken the dots on Dexter's scarf and the snowman's mouth and eyes. I cut the image out with my labels nesties. I used silver brilliance on the edge of the label and added clear EP and heat set. While it was hot I dipped it again into the clear EP and it made a thick coated edge.I added some glue to the snow and sprinkled on some diamond dust.I used my MS border punch for the white and embossed it with CB folder. I punched the snowflakes with a MS punch. The designer paper is from Sandylion. The sentiment was stamped onto white shrink film with black Stazon and heat set and shrunk.
I hope you like it....Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day...

High Hopes Challenge #39
Good evening everyone;
I hope you all had a great weekend. We looked after our DD's new puppy Jackson yesterday. You can't leave him alone outside for a minute by himself as he is in his digging stage and if you don't catch him at it quick he can make a real mess. Layla can't be bothered with him at all....she's probably thinking to herself... "he's such a brat"...lol!!
This weeks High Hopes challenge is brought to us by Anna and she has chosen "Upsy Daisy". She would like us all to use some daisies on our cards. I am using "Emileigh's Cool Ride" and "Road Trip" from the new release. Crissy has outdone herself with another release of amazing heartwork, every image is absolutely fabulous!!
I am back to the black/white mode with this one...but I couldn't stand it and had to add the red. I'm positive there won't be too many more...I just gotta have color!!...LOL!!
I embossed the image and the flowers with black and painted them with Tombows. I used glossy accents on the windshield, the small daisy centers and the tire centers. The large daisies are an older HH stamp and the small daisies are from the new potted plant stamp. I cut out the car and flowers and used my shaping tool to give the images some dimension. The bottom border is a MS punch. Where there was a cut out flower I added a daisy. I used my nesties for the frame. The silver on the bumpers and tires is a Gelly Roll metallic pen. Her jacket was painted with Tombow first and the Shimmerz - coal. It's hard to see the shimmerz but it looks great in RL. I embossed the sentiment onto acetate and used silicone to stick it down. The swirl was cut with a punch.
I hope you like it.
The HH's new release is available at The Rubber Room and on-line, all in stock and ready to go. Don't delay....they won't be there long!!
Thanks so much for stopping by....

FlourishesTimeless Tuesday Challenge
Hello everyone;
I have just come from Flourishes new release party on SCS. It was a blast and the new release sets are awesome!!
The Rubber Room is now stocking Flourishes Stamps in the store and on-line, so if you are in Canada and are excited to get your hands on these beautiful stamps, drop into the store or pop by the website and take a look.
I know I am a little behind with my Flourishes "Timeless Tuesday" card, but better late than never...eh!! The challenge this week is hosted by Dee and she says.... "Cut it out and Pop it up".
I used the set "Sweet Violets" for my card.
I embossed the image 3 times onto smooth water color paper with black. I painted the images with Tombows. I painted the whole main image and then just the flowers and leaves of the 2nd and 3rd image. Starting from the back, I layered all the leaves and flowers with silicone. On the top center flower I also cut and layered just the large petal. I used my nesties for the ovals, my MS doily lace punch, my EK Success scallop punch and my scallop scissors for the bottom edges. The DP are Basic Grey Wisteria pad. The only stickles I used was for the center of the flowers.
Its really hard to see all the layering in the photo, you might see it better if you click on the pic.
I hope you like it and Thanks so much for stopping by...
Have a fabulous weekend...

1 CARD....2 CHALLENGES
Hello everyone...
I hope you are all having a great week so far. Mine has been very busy, not too much time for blogging. I did manage to get a card done for the Scrapmagasinet Reader Challenge #12 and The Pink Elephant Challenge #22. I was the lucky winner of the Scrapmagasinet Sketch challenge #12 and won 2 free stamp sets, so I am using one of my new images for these challenges. TPE challenge this week is "Stars and Strips" and Scrapmagasinet challenge is "Flowers".
I am not sure of the name of the image, but the set is 104 Katter.
This card is a little outside my element as I am so used to using vibrant colors. My friend Tiffany had done some monochromatic cards that were awesome and I wanted to give it a try.
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows and H2o's oyster. No stickles on this one, I liked the shimmer of the H2o's. The stars are cut with my nesties and the flowers are punched with My MS hydrangea punch. The sentiment is stamped with Stazon onto shrink film and heated and shrunk. I added some curled wire and a few pearls.
I hope you like it. The pic is a little dark, but lightening it made it wishy-washy...so this is the best I could get.
Have a great week

High Hopes Challenge # 38
Good evening all;
Such a beautiful day we had today, the sun was beaming and no humidity...Ahhh, just what we have been waiting for!!
The High Hopes Challenge for today is brought to us by HH's amazing artist and Divine Diva, Crissy. She has chosen "Lots and Lots of Polka Dots". Well I have to say I followed the rules and there are LOTS of dots on mine...LOL!! I think you might need your sunglasses for this one...the yellow is a tad too bright!
This adorable image is "Ants Picnic". I have been wanting to ink this one up...and I think it is just right for this challenge.
I embossed the image with black and painted it with Tombows. I used H20's icicle on the table cloth and the knife and fork. I used my nesties labels for the image and navy layer. The white dots on the navy card are stamped with Brilliance white. A MS doily punch and an EK Success scallop punch were used on the layers behind the ribbon. I also added some stickles.
I am disappointed in the picture quality, but my camera was probably in shock with the brightness of the yellow!!
I hope you like it...
Thanks so much for stopping by and
have a fabulous evening...

You have until midnight July 31 to submit your entry and the prize to the winner is your choice of 5 Motivet stamps and another random draw for 2 Motivet stamps. Most of the work is done for you with the amazing sketch....so get on over and give it a go!!
My card today is the sketch for the Motivet challenge and also for The Pink Elephant Challenge which is "Your Favorite Color Combo".
Well let me tell you how hard this was for me because I have so many favorite color combos!! The colors I have used are one of my fav's.....pink, green and orange....love em!!
I stamped the image in black and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I painted it with Tombows. I also added some stickles. The pink border piece was punch with a MS punch. The designer papers are from Darcie's. I also crocheted the flower embellishments for the corner. I was inspired a few weeks ago to pick up a crochet hook after seeing some beautiful flowers and butterflies that Bev had used on her cards. She is such a sweetie to also share her beautiful patterns with us all.
Have a fabulous day...thanks so much for stopping by
